Beyond Boundaries-"BEYOND MANAGEMENT"

Alongwith with an "insight" into the events happening at LIBA, we are also going to introduce the various clubs and committees which are integral to the life of students at LIBA.
The first committee to be introduced in this forum is BEYOND MANAGEMENT.Here is an excerpt of what they have to say-

As business becomes increasingly global in industries that demand relentless innovation, we are called upon to deliver unique and robust solutions in a wide range of circumstances. We can meet this challenge only with people of diverse cultures, experiences and viewpoints. Our strategy is to be global in scope. We want to institute programs to help identify, support and cultivate the next generation of leadership along with the completion of our MBA program. It is through learning, alone that we apply and excel. Without question, we possess that level of purpose. Therefore, Beyond management was born. We believe, to excel is not optional, it is what we must be.
Last year, we primarily focussed on organising the ‘Speaker series‘ through this forum. We had subject matter experts interacting with our students on current issues on a one to one basis. While our people survey shows we have made progress on many fronts, we know that there is still much work to be done. We envision the business and financial issues that will confront us tomorrow and ensure that we will have the competency that will be needed to serve them. In a global business environment, this calls for an immense array of resources-it requires specialised industry knowledge, proficient cultural and language skills. It demands fresh perspectives and creative solutions. Hence, this year we intend to include a broader level of activities.
• Support of and partnership with existing committees and networks on and off campus.
• Organise training workshops related to management and beyond through the year.
• Broaden the scope of speaker series –inviting people from diverse backgrounds
• Partner with alumni on a regular basis-to identify the challenges /transition post MBA
• Dedicated training and awareness programs on diversity and leadership.
We at beyond management look forward to the academic year of 2009-2010.
